Self-care doesn’t have to mean a two-hour bath you never have time for. It can be the shower you already take — just done a little more intentionally.
- Start with a body wash that smells like something you’d choose again. Scent does a lot of the emotional work here.
- Exfoliate two or three times a week. It’s the step most people skip, and the one that makes the biggest difference to how your skin feels.
- Follow with body oil or lotion while skin is still damp. It locks in far more moisture than applying to dry skin later.
- Keep one product just for you. A hand cream or fragrance mist that’s not shared with anyone else in the house makes the routine feel like yours.
- Give it five extra minutes. That’s usually all it takes for a routine task to start feeling like care instead of chore.
Small, repeatable rituals beat occasional big ones — that’s really the whole idea behind self-care.
